Verde Valley Medical Center recognized again as national leader in patient safety by Healthgrades

Northern Arizona Healthcare is among the nation’s top performing healthcare systems in the U.S., as reported by Modern Healthcare. The April 21 publication listed Northern Arizona Healthcare in the top 20 percent of small healthcare systems as ranked in a recent study by Truven Health Analytics.
The 14th annual Pepsi-Cola Taylor House Century Ride, set for Saturday, July 19, will give cyclists the opportunity to ride through Northern Arizona and enjoy the beautiful views while supporting a good cause. As always, the proceeds will benefit The Taylor House, a special home away from home for the families of patients who are being cared for at Flagstaff Medical Center.

Verde Valley Medical Center’s commitment to quality care was reaffirmed when the hospital once again received national accreditation from DNV Healthcare, the newest Medicare-certified hospital accreditation organization. The accreditation announcement followed a rigorous three-day survey by a four-member survey team. The team will also be recommending VVMC for ISO 9001 certification, which integrates its quality management system with Medicare’s Conditions of Participation.

It was recently announced that Verde Valley Medical Center’s Community Care Network is a winner in the category of Quality and Patient Care Delivery/Patient Satisfaction with the Amerinet Healthcare Achievement Award. Two representatives from VVMC will receive the award while attending the national 2014 Amerinet Conference in Las Vegas, May 20 - 23.

Verde Valley Medical Clinic – Primary Care in Cottonwood is open for same-day appointments from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. The clinic, located in Manzanita Plaza at 450 S. Willard St., is staffed by rotating primary care providers employed by Verde Valley Medical Center. New patients are welcome. For a Saturday appointment, please call 928-634-5551.
