Verde Valley Medical Center awarded ‘A’ grade for patient safety and quality of care in 2012
Verde Valley Medical Center (VVMC) has been awarded an ‘A’ grade for patient safety and quality of care by the Leapfrog Group based on 26 different measures of safety. VVMC was recognized by the Leapfrog Group for its demonstrated commitment to the health of its patients through safety, quality of care and positive patient outcomes.
VVMC receives 2010 Get with the Guidelines Gold Performance Achievement Award
Verde Valley Medical Center (VVMC) is one of 135 hospitals nationwide to receive the American College of Cardiology Foundation’s 2010 Get With The Guidelines Gold Performance Achievement Award. This is the third year in a row VVMC has received the gold award.
VVMC receives Showcase in Excellence Award - December 19, 2008
The Joint Replacement Program at Verde Valley Medical Center has been awarded a 2008 Showcase in Excellence Award by the Arizona Quality Alliance (AQA). VVMC is the only hospital in Arizona to receive the award. This recognition is presented to organizations that demonstrate innovation, excellence in comparison to peers, or overall exceptional performance.
VVMC receives national 2008 Gold Award - August 5, 2008
Verde Valley Medical Center is one of only two hospitals in Arizona to receive a 2008 Gold Award and be recognized in the July 14 U.S. News and World Report, America’s Best Hospitals issue by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines (GWTG) program announcement for performance achievement award winners in cardiac and stroke patient care. VVMC’s Gold Award demonstrates sustained performance (two or more years at 85 percent or higher adherence) to all performance measures for coronary artery disease.
VVMC receives 2007 Employer Excellence Award - October 16, 2007
Verde Valley Medical center has been awarded the 2007 Employer Excellence Award by the Arizona Nurses Association (AzNA). Only one State healthcare facility in honored with this award once every two years for outstanding support of nursing leadership and creating a professional environment of nursing practice, education and excellence.
