Verde Valley Medical Center makes “100 Great Community Hospitals” list
Verde Valley Medical Center (VVMC) has been listed as one of the “100 Great Community Hospitals” in the U.S. by Becker’s Hospital Review; one of only three hospitals in Arizona to make the prestigious list. VVMC was recognized by Becker’s for its demonstrated commitment to the health of the community through clinical excellence, community involvement and various other efforts. VVMC was compared against other hospitals in the U.S. with fewer than 550 beds and minimal teaching programs.
“This is an incredible honor and true testament to the quality-driven, patient-focused healthcare we provide to our patients and community,” said James Bleicher, M.D., VVMC President/CEO. “Being part of this distinguished list demonstrates VVMC’s commitment to provide exceptional care to our patients while working to transform the health of the communities we serve. It also proves the commitment of all the staff and physicians in making VVMC one of the best hospitals in the U.S.”
Becker’s Hospital Review is a nationally recognized organization that reviews and analyzes hospital information, recognitions and rankings from a variety of sources including HealthGrades, American Nurses Credentialing Center, Thomson Reuters and others.
In addition to receiving national recognition by Becker’s, VVMC has received other notable rankings and awards in the last several years including:
