East Addition
Work has been completed on the new heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) units. Tie-ins between the existing mechanical system and new building are being finalized.

Drywall is being hung on the second floor of the four-story building, while a primer coat of paint is being applied to the walls of the first floor. Millwork and cabinets for the first floor will be delivered at the end of the month. Grid work for the acoustical ceilings is scheduled to begin next week, and flooring installation is scheduled to begin in December.

Concrete has been poured for the connecting corridor for the East addition across the first floor roof outside the OB post partum rooms.

Outside the building, sidewalks and curbs are being installed. One side of the sidewalk to the employee parking lot has been reopened for use by colleagues. Please use caution when walking between the day and evening/night parking lots.

North Addition
Windows have been installed, and  work on the exterior insulation finish system (EIFS) has begun. Interior framing and drywall work will follow.

Inside VVMC
Flooring replacement is ongoing in nursing units. Carpet removal has started in the public corridors, after which installation of the new premium flooring will begin. Completion is expected by mid-late December. VVMC asks all employees, patients and visitors for their cooperation and patience with hallway closures, detours and noise during this project.
