Volunteer Services
Volunteering at Verde Valley Medical Center is a great way to get involved and stay active. All we ask is a commitment of four hours per week. We carefully match people to jobs to provide a satisfying experience for volunteers and friendly assistance to our patients, families and visitors.
Volunteers are a valuable asset to VVMC and are considered very special people who give the ultimate gifts: time and love. The assistance they provide enhances the quality of care we are able to offer patients, families and visitors to our medical center.
Who is eligible? Volunteers are matched with an assignment that fits with your personality, your ability and your schedule. Volunteer opportunities are available throughout all departments on both the Cottonwood and Sedona campuses of the medical center. You don’t need any special skills or training – just an open heart and a warm smile. The diversity of our volunteers – from homemakers to professionals, students to retirees, young to old – makes us stronger and better able to serve the healthcare needs of the community. Key qualifications for volunteers are a helpful, caring attitude and a respect for confidentiality. Our orientation process will provide you with additional information on volunteering.
What are the benefits of volunteering? Volunteering means different things to different people. You may help people through difficult times, make new friends or learn a new skill. You will have the satisfaction of knowing you helped make someone’s day a little brighter and a little easier. Everyone at VVMC appreciates the efforts of our volunteers and recognizes their selfless contributions.
