Take Note Sedona: Nutrition, Cancer and You - Aug. 14
Nutrition, Cancer and You is the topic of the next Take Note Sedona Lecture Series sponsored by Verde Valley Medical Center (VVMC). The Tuesday, Aug. 14, lecture will feature Oncologist Robert Gagliano, M.D., and Dietitian Pam Ing-Dobrota, R.D. The lecture begins at 5 p.m. at the Sedona Library, 3250 White Bear Rd., Sedona. Dr. Gagliano will discuss how nutrition relates to cancer prevention and treatment. Board-certified in medical oncology and internal medicine, Dr. Gagliano, a member of the VVMC medical staff since 1997, specializes in cancer consultation, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, immune therapy and biologic therapy.
Ing-Dobrota will discuss foods that help protect against cancer. As a registered dietitian, Ing-Dobrota specializes in working with cancer patients who are receiving treatment at the Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare – Sedona. Additionally, she sees patients at VVMC and outpatients who need the direction and expertise of a dietitian to manage their health. Ing-Dobrota has worked at VVMC for more than 15 years.
The Take Note Sedona Lecture Series offers various health-related educational topics to benefit the community. The lectures feature prominent speakers who are experts in their field.
