Registration fees are $30 for the 5K and $35 for the 10K; fees for the 2K family run are $50 for up to four family members or $20 for individual participants. Spectators and bystanders may join participants at breakfast for $8. For more information or to register, visit or call 877-527-5291.

The Verde Valley Hospice Home, which is currently under construction, will be the first hospice home in the Verde Valley. When it is finished in 2014, the beautiful, inpatient facility will provide a variety of services and care options to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and their families faced with the complexities of end-of-life-care. The home will feature 10 patient rooms each with a private bath, outdoor patio and views of the red rock.

The new home is part of Northern Arizona Hospice. Founded in 1984, Northern Arizona Hospice is the only nonprofit hospice in the greater Verde Valley and Sedona Area. It is a division of Northern Arizona Healthcare and an affiliate of Verde Valley Center. Hospice care is provided to patients with a terminal illness who have a life expectancy of six months or less. The focus is on providing comfort t and support to patients and their families.
