Verde Valley Medical Center is hosting a diabetes support group Monday, Jan. 25, from
5-7 p.m., in VVMC Conference Room A. This group welcomes individuals, family members and friends whose lives have been affected by diabetes.

Cheryl Chase, PharmD, a VVMC pharmacist since 2004, will be the speaker for the January meeting. She will discuss diabetes medications, including their effects, side-effects and interactions with other medications. Chase also will be available for any questions about medications in general.

Diabetic Educator and Support Group Facilitator Mary May said, “Questions about medications seem to arise during many of our group meetings. We hope with the Cheryl’s participation, some of those questions can be answered.”
