National data demonstrates that informed patients are more likely to actively participate in their own and their family’s healthcare, communicate better with their physicians, and adhere more fully to treatment programs. Verde Valley Medical Center promotes cardiac education with its Heart of the Matter physician lecture series to raise awareness of the importance of heart health.
The series, which hosts a different physician member of the Medical Staff each month, covers an array of heart-related issues, from warning signs of cardiac risk to updates on available procedures and advancements in technology.
“Our educational lectures help the community become more aware about the importance of heart health,” said Sue Bridge, R.N., Cardiac Rehabilitation nurse. “At VVMC, the cardiac care team is dedicated to providing specialized care and cutting-edge procedures.”
No Age Limits It commonly is perceived that only the elderly suffer from heart-related conditions, but with nearly 70 million Americans living with heart disease, evidence shows the disease doesn’t discriminate. Be prepared—join Verde Valley Medical Center and get down to the heart of the matter.
Join VVMC on the second Monday of every month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Conference Rooms B and C for heart-healthy education. For more information on this free seminar series or to reserve a seat, call VVMC at 928 639-6322.
