Head and neck cancer support group Dec. 16

Cancer patients, survivors and families and caregivers are invited to participate in the Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare’s “Heads Up!” support group. Heads Up! is a monthly informal head and neck cancer support group. The next meeting is 1:30 – 3 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 16 at the Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare - Sedona Campus, 3700 West Highway 89A.

This month’s meeting will cover “Energy Conservation” and features Occupational Therapist Carol Luhmen, O.T.L. During the meeting Luhmen will discuss energy conservation, how it is benefits patients and the importance of not pushing our bodies to the limit. Energy conservation is a multi-layered approach which teaches patients how to preserve physical function, maintain sense of personal efficiency, promote wellness and enhance athletic ability.
