Nov. 19, 2010

Breast cancer currently affects one out of every eight women and is the most common type of cancer found in women. Due to the high prevalence of the disease, early detection is the most effective and efficient tool for recovery. Join Verde Valley Medical Center and the Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare to  learn how to catch and prevent breast cancer by knowing what to look and feel for during a free Breast Self-Exam class.

The next free Breast Self-Exam class is 10 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, Nov. 30 in the Ocotillo Room of the Education Department at Verde Valley Medical Center, 269 S. Candy Lane. Each class is two hours long and teaches women how to perform a breast self-exam. Additionally, instruction is performed on specialized models to provide visual learning. Seating is limited; an R.S.V.P. is recommended; call 928 204-4160.
