VVMC Ostomy Support Group discusses the risk of diabetes

Verde Valley Medical Center is reaching out and embracing the local community of ostomy patients, families and community members by hosting a monthly ostomy support group. This group provides a supportive and sharing environment for all individuals, family members and friends affected by ostomy surgery.
The next meeting is 4 - 6 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 5 in VVMC Conference Room A. This meeting features VVMC Certified Diabetes Educator Mary May, R.N., C.D.E. May will discuss diabetes education, as well as diabetes prevention and management techniques. The Ostomy support group at VVMC provides participant with educational information as well as the opportunity to meet with other community ostomates and support group members.
For easy access to Conference Room A, park in the visitor lot on Candy Lane and enter through the Outpatient Services entrance.
