Cancer Center Lunch & Learn: Strike at Cancer with Nutritious Foods – Nov. 12

In an effort to provide education about topics pertinent to those whose lives have been impacted by cancer, the Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare and Verde Valley Medical Center are hosting a special Lunch & Learn event. It is the intent of these events which are held every other month to offer hope and encouragement to cancer patients, survivors, friends and family members of those affected by cancer through education and inspiring presentations.

The next free Lunch & Learn is Noon – 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 12, at Verde Valley Medical Center, 269 Candy Lane, Conference Room B. Lunch will be provided. The meeting, “Strike at Cancer with Nutritious Foods,” features special guest, Pamela Ing-Dobrota, registered dietitian. To reserve your seat for the Lunch & Learn, call 928 204-4160.

Ing-Dobrota has been a registered dietitian at the Cancer Centers since 2007, specializing in helping cancer patients determine diet and nutrition choices. At the Lunch & Learn, she will discuss foods that help prevent and fight cancer. There will be a food demonstration showcasing a meal with these cancer-fighting attributes, and a question-and-answer session.
