Verde Valley Medical Center’s Medical Library and Outpatient Diabetes Center are hosting an open house for the community to come see their new location and learn more about the valuable services and programs offered. The public is invited to stop by VVMC’s newly renovated main lobby – Main Street – from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, April 11; 269 S. Candy Lane. Main Street offers easy-to-find locations for VVMC’s Medical Library, Outpatient Diabetes Center, Outpatient Clinical Dietitians, Code Bean Coffee and Gift Shop, and Outpatient Testing.
VVMC’s Medical Library is open to the public for researching medical questions, looking for medication information and other medical topics. Staff is available to assist in researching medical information. Additionally, the library is available for use as a family resource center for patients, family members and friends of patients during a hospital stay. The library is open from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday. For more information about the Medical Library, call 928 639-6444.
VVMC’s Outpatient Diabetes Center offers private, patient conference rooms and expanded outpatient services. Diabetes educators will be on hand during the open house to provide diabetes risk assessments and free blood sugar checks, as well as provide information about VVMC’s Diabetes Support groups and other services. VVMC’s Outpatient Clinical Dietitians will be available to answer nutrition and diet questions and provide valuable information to those needing nutritional support. The Outpatient Clinical Dietitians office is located in the Outpatient Diabetes Center. For more information about services provided by VVMC’s outpatient dietitians, call 928 639-6531.
The Code Bean Coffee and Gift Shop will be offering discounted gift items during the open house. The coffee and gift shop is open Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Gifts may be ordered for a patient in the hospital by calling 928 639-6553.
