Sports Injuries and Prevention – Sedona Library Lecture Series Nov. 29

Verde Valley Medical Center (VVMC) is sponsoring the Sedona Library Lecture Series. The Tuesday, Nov. 29 lecture, Sports Injuries and Prevention, will feature Orthopedic Surgeon Brian Duggan, M.D. The lecture begins at 5 p.m. at the Sedona Library, 3250 White Bear Rd., Sedona. Dr. Duggan will discuss surgical and non-surgical treatment options for sports-related injuries and preventative therapies to maintain healthy bones and joints.

Specializing in sports-related injuries, Dr. Duggan performs shoulder total shoulder replacements and reverse shoulder replacements; arthroscopic shoulder rotator cuff repairs; instability surgery of the shoulder; knee ligament reconstructions; hip arthroscopy; and total and partial hip and knee replacements. Having trained at Baltimore’s Shock Trauma Center, Dr. Duggan has extensive knowledge in the treatment of orthopedic fracture of all extremities.

Dr. Duggan is the newest physician to join Verde Valley Orthopedic Associates, a service of Verde Valley Medical Center. VVMC’s orthopedic physicians specialize in the surgical and non-surgical treatment options for arthritis, tendonitis, work- and sports-related injuries and back injuries, as well as joint replacement.
