Whether it’s a serious medical condition or an unexpected accident, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), paramedics, firefighters, emergency physicians and nurses, and other first responders are heroically performing lifesaving tasks in our communities every day, around the clock.
National EMS week is celebrated to bring awareness to the vital services provided each day by these professionals throughout every community in the United States. They engage in thousands of hours of specialized training and continuing education to enhance their lifesaving skills.
At VVMC, Emergency department staff and Verde Valley first responders work in sync to ensure our communities receive timely, high quality services. The ED has donated lifesaving equipment, and continually works with local EMS personnel to ensure guidelines, protocols and rapid response times are the best they can be.
A special thank you to our emergency personnel whose care dramatically improves the survival and recovery rates of those who experience sudden illness or injury.
