Joint Replacement – Is it for you? is the topic of the Sept. 26 Take Note Lecture in Cottonwood, sponsored by Verde Valley Medical Center. The free lecture features orthopedic surgeon, Jack Wylie, M.D., and orthopedic surgeons from Verde Valley Orthopedic Associates. Joining the discussion will be members of VVMC’s Joint Replacement Program team including orthopedic nurses and physical therapists. The informative lecture is 5 - 6 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 26, in VVMC’s Conference Room B, 269 S. Candy Lane, Cottonwood. To R.S.V.P. or for more information, call 928 639-6551.

The lecture will begin with information to help participants identify the possible causes of hip or knee pain followed by a presentation about VVMC’s nationally recognized Joint Replacement Program (JRP), including state-of-the-art surgical and non-surgical treatment options, unique aspects of the program and the JRP healthcare team. Physical therapists from VVMC’s EntireCare Rehab and Sports Medicine will discuss the various therapies available after joint replacement procedures to get patients back to doing the things they love.

The Take Note Cottonwood Lecture Series offers various health-related educational topics to benefit the community. The lectures feature prominent speakers who are experts in their field.
