Surgery – Who You Meet When You’re Asleep, is the next Take Note Lecture Series in Sedona and Cottonwood, sponsored by Verde Valley Medical Center. The free lectures will feature Surgeon Tiffany Reavis, D.O.
- The Sedona Take Note is 5 - 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, at the Sedona Library, 3250 White Bear Rd.
- The Cottonwood Take Note is at 5 - 6 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, in VVMC’s Conference Room B, 269 S. Candy Lane.

Each presentation will focus on what happens behind the double doors when a patient is taken into surgery. Participants will receive an overview of the surgical team members, how anesthesia works, infection prevention measures and explanation of pre-op and post-op care.
Dr. Reavis is the newest member of VVMC General Surgeons; she will begin seeing patients in the Verde Valley later this summer. She specializes in all areas of general surgery.
The Take Note Cottonwood Lecture Series offers various health-related educational topics to benefit the community. The lectures feature prominent speakers who are experts in their field.
