VVMC’s Diabetes Support Group: Managing Stress – April 23
Verde Valley Medical Center’s (VVMC) Diabetes Education Program is reaching out to embrace the diabetic community and their loved ones by hosting monthly diabetes support groups. These local groups provide a supportive and sharing environment for all individuals, family members and friends affected by the disease.
The April support group is 5 – 7 p.m., Monday, April 23 in VVMC’s Conference Rooms B and C and features guest speakers Ian Livingstone, M.D., and Alison Russel, R.N. The group is open to all members of the community. Please R.S.V.P. to 928 639-6346; walk-ins welcome.
Dr. Livingstone, who is board-certified in neurology, and Russel will discuss the effects of stress on diabetes, stress management and relaxation techniques.
VVMC hosts the diabetes support group the fourth Monday of each month. Meetings focus on diabetes management and education.
