Cancer Center Lunch & Learn – The Healing Connection of Mind, Body and Spirit

In an effort to increase cancer knowledge and offer support to those affected by cancer, the Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare and Verde Valley Medical Center are hosting a special Lunch & Learn event. The luncheon aims to bring hope and encouragement to cancer patients, survivors, friends and family members of those affected by cancer through education and inspiring presentations.

The next free Lunch & Learn is noon – 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 15, at Verde Valley Medical Center, 269 Candy Lane, Conference Room A. The meeting, “Mind, Body, Spirit: Healing Connection” features special guest Sherry Zumbrunnen, R.N., M.S.N., H.N.-B.C. As a certified holistic nurse and yoga instructor, Zumbrunnen will share the benefits of relaxation as well as the importance of the mind and spirit connection in the healing process. Additionally, Zumbrunnen will share the photography project “Faces of Cancer” by photographer Loren Anderson. Seating is limited.
