Arty-Bras showcased at First Friday ArtWalk in Sedona

Oct. 26, 2010

In an effort to increase breast cancer knowledge and promote early detection of breast-health issues, the Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare (CCNAH) are showcasing the “Arty-Bra” Project from 5 – 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 5 at the First Friday ArtWalk in Sedona.

Arty-Bra designs − decorative bras and artwork celebrating the beauty of all women − will be displayed at participating Sedona Gallery Association businesses during the ArtWalk. The Gallery of Modern Masters, Goldenstein Gallery, Honshin Gallery, James Ratliff Gallery, Kinion Fine Art, Mountain Trails Gallery, Renee Taylor Gallery, Andrea Smith Gallery and the Sedona Arts Center will all feature Arty-Bra displays. Ballots will be available at the event to vote for your favorite Arty-Bra design.

Everyone is invited to attend and show support for those who are battling breast cancer and those who are breast cancer survivors. This is the first year for this event in Sedona. On Oct. 5, for Flagstaff’s First Friday ArtWalk, more than 60 bras were on display with their clever titles and extravagant and fun designs, encouraging and promoting breast health and early detection.
