Breast Cancer Resource Program

August 11, 2009

The Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare are pleased to announce the opening of the new Breast Cancer Resource Program at the Cancer Center – Sedona Campus. The program is designed to assist women who have received a diagnosis of breast cancer, and provides education, support, and material resources. Women who are undergoing treatment, or those who have completed treatment, will discover a variety of services and information to assist them in navigating through their cancer journey.

The Breast Cancer Resource program features education and resources for women diagnosed with breast cancer as well as breast cancer survivors. Specialized items include prosthetics, clothing, and support services for women undergoing breast cancer treatment, and those who are adjusting to their long-term lifestyle changes.

“I am proud to be part of this new and exciting program,” said Carol Durkalec, BSN, ONC, certified oncology nurse for the Breast Cancer Resource Program. “We are happy to be able to offer valuable services close to home for women who previously may have had to travel to find such resources.”
