Cancer Center of Northern Arizona Healthcare (CCNAH) presents, “How Art Enhances Survivorship,” as the October program of CCNAH’s Lunch & Learn series.
The program is designed for those affected by cancer to learn how art may apply to their ongoing survivorship. October’s speaker is Betty Parsonage, an expressive art therapist, artist and published author. She believes art is a healing modality and a valuable tool in physical and emotional healing.
Parsonage has gained insight in how expressive art helps healing while working at two addiction centers and volunteering in hospital programs. She also has attended expressive art workshops and art therapy summer institutes.
This fascinating program is being held Saturday, Oct. 3, noon-2 p.m., in Verde Valley Medical Center’s Conference Room B, 269 S. Candy Lane, Cottonwood. There is no charge for this program, but seating is limited and registration is required. Register early to reserve your seat! Call 204-4160 to register.
