Childbirth Education Preparing for your baby’s birth is an exciting time. This series of classes will help you understand the labor process and better prepare for the birth and caring of your infant.
Our childbirth instructors are registered nurses who also work in the Labor and Delivery department at VVMC. We encourage you to begin your first class in your seventh month of pregnancy. Childbirth education classes are for you and your support person.
Topics covered through the series include prenatal care, the labor process, breathing techniques, possible complications, the delivery process, breastfeeding techniques, and infant care.
Classes are held on Thursdays from 7-9 p.m., in VVMC’s Conference Room B. The cost is $25 per couple for a series of five classes.
Teen Childbirth Classes Be prepared for your baby’s birth by attending a series of three classes focused on teen moms-to-be and your support person.
Topics covered through the series include prenatal care, the labor process, breathing techniques, possible complications, the delivery process, breastfeeding techniques, and infant care. Childbirth instructors are nurses who also work in the Labor and Delivery department at VVMC.
Classes are held on Tuesdays from 7-8:30 p.m. in VVMC’s Conference Room A. The cost is $15 per couple for a series of three classes.
