Nutritional Services

VVMC’s culinary team provides customer service excellence through education and delivering top quality, appealing and nutritious cuisine.

Your physician will order a diet that is appropriate for you. If you are on a regular or a modified diet, a special meal will be prepared for you, featuring a variety of foods based on the U.S. Dietary Guidelines.

A representative of Nutrition Services will interview you for your menu preferences. The Nutrition assistant can answer any questions you have concerning your special diet. A clinical dietition consult will be ordered by your physician if appropriate.

In some units, printed menus will be distributed each morning. Please complete the printed form by 11 a.m.

We encourage visitors and family members to use our Café Verde located on the first level, for their meals. The Café Verde serves breakfast from 3:30-10 a.m.; lunch from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.; and dinner from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Visitor prices are posted and purchases are on a cash basis only. The dining room is open from 3 a.m.-7 p.m., for beverages and “grab & go” items.

Guest trays can be delivered to your room during regular meal service, provided the order is placed at least two hours in advance. Call Nutrition Services, in-house extension 36545, or if from an outside line, 928 639-6545. Meals for your guests cannot be charged to your hospital bill, and should be paid in advance at the Café cashier’s station.
