Security Services Department

The Flagstaff Medical Center Security
Department incorporates Security Officers and Switchboard Operators.
Security Officers are responsible for providing a safe and secure
environment and minimizing the opportunity for the loss of personal and
institutional assets. In addition, Security Officers provide a wealth of
additional services as described on our Customer Services page.
Security Officers are hired based upon education, experience and their
willingness and ability to provide a friendly customer service to the
medical center community. Officers of the Security Department are
involved in a continuous training program that addresses all relevant
aspects of policing as well as all aspects of Flagstaff Medical Center’s
guidelines of practice. In addition, all Officers are certified through
the International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety.
The FMC Security Department is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We encourage you to call the Security Department to report any
suspicious and/or unusual activity. A Switchboard Operator will dispatch
a Security Officer to respond to the problem immediately. You may also find a
hospital employee and ask them to call security.
