Visitor Information
Visiting Hours: 10 a.m.-9 p.m. except:
Intensive Care Unit - Visiting hours are: 9 a.m.-1 p.m., 3-6 p.m. and 8-9 p.m., limited to immediate family and/or individuals patients designate as significant, according tot he patient's condition. Visits should be limited to 15 minutes. Please use the white phone by the ICU doors to call into the nurse's station before entering the ICU. PLEASE remember to turn off all cell phones!
Telemetry/Medical-Surgical - Visits should be limited to 30 minutes.
Obstetrics/GYN - Visiting hours may be modified dependent on the infant, mother's or patient's condition. The birthing support team may visit as they wish except in the event of a C-section. Please check with nursing staff for visiting times as apply to special procedures or for grandparents.
Pediatrics - One member of the family may stay around the clock. A (parental) designated support person may stay in the parent(s) absence.
Children as visitors - It is important to check with staff to determine any current visiting restrictions. During times of high risk of exposure to disease, only those 18 years and older will be allowed to visit. Please be aware, during Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) season, children under 12 years are prohibited from visiting patient care areas of the hospital. Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult, be supervised and kept under control at all times.
Lounges Lounges for patients and visitors are located throughout the hospital. Outside patios are located on the first level adjacent to the Cafe, the Rose Garden, outside the Surgery waiting area and outside the Telemetry unit. On the second level, two patios flank the Mingus unit. Public rest rooms and telephones are located near the main entrances and most waiting areas.
Tobacco policy for staff, visitors and patients The entire campus of VVMC and campuses of its satellite are Tobacco-Free environments. Thank you for your cooperation.
