Your Healthcare Team

Most physicians, including hospitalist physicians, are independent medical professionals who are not employees of Verde Valley Medical Center. They directly supervise all your care at VVMC. Ask your physician, or hospitalist, if you have any questions concerning your condition or treatment.

Our staff of professional registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), patient care technicians (PCTs), patient support technicians (PSTs) and unit clerks work closely with you, your physicians and other hospital members to provide quality care. The clinical and technical expertise they possess complements your physician’s specialty. If you have concerns or questions about your care or hospital services, the charge nurse, nursing director or nurse clinician of your unit will be happy to discuss them with you at any time.

Other team members: Laboratory and Medical Imaging personnel; respiratory, physical, speech, occupational and hand therapists; social workers/case managers, dietitians and others may visit you in your room. All have been specially trained in their respective areas of expertise, and meet specific guidelines and qualifications to provide care for you. Always feel free to ask questions of any member of your healthcare team.
