Surgical Services - Inpatient and Same Day
Surgical Services includes both
inpatient and outpatient procedures. The units are comprised of: Same
Day Surgery, Operating Rooms, Anesthesia, Post Anesthesia Care and
Central Sterile Processing. The units are staffed by R.N.s, C.R.N.A.s,
OR Techs and support staff. All are well trained and experienced in the
many facets of care delivery for the surgical patient. Many of the staff
hold national certifications from their professional organizations.
Approximately 250 surgeries are performed at Verde Valley Medical Center
per month. VVMC has six operating room suites. Some of the suites are
specially designed to accommodate the most recent technologies
available. These include:

A
state-of-the-art urology/cystoscopic suite that has a special surgical
table to allow for better patient positioning and optimal X-ray
capabilities.

Rooms with
a laminar flow method of air exchanges that promote a decrease in the
risk of infection to Total Joint Patients

The ability
to perform advanced laparoscopic procedures with the most recent
equipment.
For the comfort and enjoyment of our
patients and their loved ones, the surgery waiting area has views and
access to the Tranquility Garden. This beautiful garden area was funded
by the VVMC Foundation and features benches, flowers and a soothing
water fall.
